Sales Specialist - Dry Vacuum Pumps/Vacuum Coating; Industrial Vacuum

Position Description
Sales Specialist to cover and grow FLS dry vacuum bookings focused on both OE and aftermarket business at general industrial accounts within NA market. Working remotely to cover the Mid-West, Great Lakes, North East region where the vacuum coating industry is located.
The Job consists primarily of OE, including PM, installation, training and start-up services, which provide for pull through and future AM opportunities. Controls and System installation / operation / safety upgrade support includes disciplines and expertise that are not primary role of current SE's.
Generate bookings for dry vacuum with focus on equipment, parts and field service. Grow with new customers with focus on offering competitor replacement solutions. The responsibility includes direct and indirect coverage. Primary role is to approach major end users and OEMs direct, utilizing the momentum of the FLS sales organization as best as possible. The candidate will be responsible for continued improvement in sales coverage effectiveness, supporting key accounts, help develop and support account action plans.
Position Requirements
An ideal candidate has either a degree in engineering with 3 years‚ experience in technical sales or a 6 years plus experience in sales of vacuum equipment in vacuum coating markets. Experience in how to engage distributors is beneficial. Vacuum technology knowledge is required. Candidates should have a "hands on" ‚ practical- problem solving approach (i.e. the ability and willingness to provide pump commissioning support). Up to 60% overnight travel may be required.
Preferences
Technical affinity in high vacuum technology with all its specifics such as various pump technology, leak testing, CVD/PECVD/PVD process basics. Hands on approach when it comes to technical support. Strong in communicating with customers as well as sales personal / distributors. Practical problem solving attitude in all aspects ‚ technical as well as in the selling process-. Open minded and flexible to create solutions that work beneficial for customers and for Flowserve. The growth potential in the industry lies mostly in replacing competitors equipment due to Flowserve‚ s unique high speed spindle pump concept, which allows for significant productivity gains and more process uptime. Experience and understanding in value selling prepositions is required. The ability to communicate industrial needs and key success factors back into the organization is required in order to constantly improve Flowserve‚ s offering to the industry.
