The Role: Xylem seeks to hire an Inside Technical Sales Representative who will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to customers throughout the U.S. and Canada to solve fluid-handling problems and increase company rental and sale business through development of Godwin and Flygt pumping systems and related pumping products.
Essential Functions:
Prepare daily quotations, bids, field service contracts and associated correspondence.
Assist internal and external customers with equipment selection, associated calculations and routine design of pumping systems.
Process pick-up slips and returns.
Answer, screen and route incoming telephone calls in an efficient, courteous and professional manner; maintain flow of e-mail; continue customer relations and interact with all departments to resolve issues in a professional manner.
Responsible for submitting rental, sale, field service and work orders for invoicing.
Prepare credit memos.
Process new customer account set-up paperwork.
Retrieve bids from various online resources including:
Detailed review of bid documents
Tracking all addendums
All pertinent documentation is collected, i.e., bid bonds, payment bonds, insurance certificates
Collect corporate signatures, seals and notary
Timely submission to vendor and/or municipality
Track bid results on abstract
Collect competitive information for sharing with Godwin sales representatives.
Act as liaison between customer and company departments.
Participate in Godwin's 24-hour on-call service rotation including office coverage on Saturdays as directed by the Branch Manager.
Occasional site visits to customer location for the purpose of providing technical support to customers or outside sales representatives and/or field training.
Participate in trade or professional shows and conferences as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of five years' experience in a related field of pumps, pumping systems or equipment rental preferably within the industrial, municipal or construction industries.
Bachelor degree in engineering or engineering technology preferred.

Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions; strong organizational skills.
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels both orally and in written form.
Proficiency with various computer software packages to specifically include Microsoft Office products.
Experience in a windows-based order processing/inventory program preferred.

Work Environment
Standard office environment free of any disagreeable elements.
Intermittent exposure to job site conditions; e.g., gas fields, petrochemical refineries, mills, mines, construction sites, industrial/power plants, waste water treatment plants, etc.; intermittent exposure to shop noise and fumes.
Travel as required to fulfill the duties listed above or required by the company.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
