Production Coordinator

The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Production Coordinator. The Production Coordinator will facilitate customer and internal production orders from order receipt on the production list to completion. The individual will act as a liaison between sales, procurement, external suppliers, engineering, parts, fabrication, QC and dispatch to ensure, productivity, quality and on-time delivery. Optimize continuous improvement through evaluation and optimization of current work processes. Work location, Bridgeport, NJ.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for coordinating and scheduling all production orders to ensure customer satisfaction and 100% on-time delivery.
Validate and analyze new orders included on the production report daily and interface with sales as required to ensure order and required delivery date accuracy.
Interpret order requirements and distribute to all necessary functions/departments to facilitate that all parts, components, drawings and information are available to meet required delivery schedule.
Interface and coordinate with the key individuals responsible for ordering, receiving and stocking parts and components, preparing and controlling drawings, scheduling fabrication, paint, hose and any other finished goods necessary to complete the order in accordance with customer expectations.
Coordinate the order and delivery of all major components (engines, trailers/skids and pump ends) from vendors to ensure a smooth uninterrupted fabrication process while controlling inventory turns at a suitable level for flexibility and rapid response to unplanned requirements.
Develop and lead an effective daily manufacturing meeting with all relevant department liaisons. Identify and address all issues to ensure production efficiencies are optimized. This will include scheduling prioritization and resource and labor management to successfully meet customer requirements while controlling costs and improving productivity.
Utilize metrics such as material shortages, inventory turns, on-time delivery, quality and manufacturing cycle time to assess the process and drive continuous improvement.
Communicate delivery delays with branch managers and confirm that customers are ready to take delivery of special units prior to scheduling into production.
Update production list daily reflecting production, paint and ready to deliver.
Review and action any and all complaints concerning production, paint and QC and develop plan for continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three to Five years experience with industrial dewatering pumps and or parts knowledge
Green Belt Certification preferred and necessary moving forward with this position to improve efficiencies
Exceptional time management and organization skills
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form
Ability to collaborate and build effective relationships at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently
Strong analytical ability
Demonstrated proficiency with computer software programs to specifically include Microsoft Excel, Word and RentalResult
Inventory control experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
