Role: The North America Vice President Sales will have overall responsibility for revenue, margin and profit of Xylem?s commercial team which services five market segments; Water Utilities, Industrial, Residential & Commercial Building Services, & Dewatering. As a senior member of the leadership team, this role has direct line responsibility for approximately 1200 colleagues across US & Canada. This role requires a high level of collaboration with other functional groups including product specialists, marketing, finance and HR. A critical part of this role is the ability to balance strategy and tactics and to foster creativity, innovation and connectivity towards serving the customer and growing Xylems Market share, revenue and profitability year over year. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
+ Create and execute strategies to grow market share on a consistent basis in collaboration with the marketing team and other functions.
+ Build sales competencies in consultative selling, value selling, and key account management, to more effectively sell Xylem's solution portfolio.
+ Develop synergies with Xylem's Advanced Infrastructure Analytics team (AIA) to provide expanded solutions and leverage customer relationships.
+ Provide clear and distilled voice of the customer feedback to the organization to feed improvement areas and opportunities across new product development, marketing, operations, quality, etc..
+ Collaborate with marketing and operations in the S&OP process, and strive to continually improve the process to deliver a robust demand signal.
+ Grow the service business by expanding the model beyond traditional equipment service.
+ Through leadership and coaching, build a cohesive, connected team of highly productive commercial colleagues with functional capability to deliver revenue and profitability targets
+ Support & drive sales process improvement towards operational excellence
+ Promote commercial excellence in field by traveling with the team, visiting customers and key vendors
+ Consistently monitor leading performance metrics and champion changes for success
+ Champion engagement and build organizational and people capabilities; develop future leaders, build the bench with diverse talent; import and export talent
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
+ Bachelor?s degree required, MBA preferred
+ 15+ years of Sales and/or Marketing experience comprised of sales, planning, strategy and segment management
+ Sound leadership experience of managing bigger teams remotely and across regions a countries
+ Ability to build capability
+ Stretch oriented, embraces and thrives on challenge
+ Analytical skills that include the understanding of how to collect critical data, identify key themes and trends and translate them into plausible recommendations

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
