The Americas Commercial Team (ACT) has total annual revenue of $1. 8M business conducting business in the U. S., Canada, Mexico and Latin America (7 countries). The ACT is supported by 8 manufacturing locations and 70 operating branches (60 in the U. S. and 10 in Canada). The ACT branch operations account for approximately $800M annual revenue

The Role:
The Operations Financial Controller is responsible for providing financial support for both the packaging plant and rental and sales branch. This is the lead Finance business partner role to these operations. Key areas of responsibility include: month end close, financial reporting, variance analysis, working capital management, budgeting/forecasting and operations support. This position is located in Bridgeport, New Jersey.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly close process, including local ERP ownership, supplying reporting requirements to Corproate and interacting with Global Shared Services
  • Prepare monthly management reports, key performance metrics and variance analysis
  • Support all aspects of operations
  • Ensure Xylem policies and processes are followed
  • Monitor controls to ensure a strong internal control environment
  • Develop tools to provide critical financial and operational information and make actionable recommendations on both operations and strategy
  • Participate in strategic projects to support business goals
  • Ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Manage working capital performance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

  • 7+ years of finance experience
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Public accounting experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Hyperion skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations
  • Strong cost accounting skills
  • Articulate, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinker who has the ability to roll up their sleeves when necessary
  • Problem solving and financial analysis skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Change manager able to establish a vision and steering teams to align with Xylem s strategies

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
